Schreyögg coffee roasting company from South Tyrol enjoys our complete confidence
The Dolce Vita Group: ‘We are pleased to announce our partnership with the Schreyögg coffee roasting company. Schreyögg is a traditional business located in Rablà near Parcines. By joining forces with Schreyögg, we have found a reliable partner who has won us over through their high-quality coffee products and excellent service.’
My relationship with coffee,” says Peter Schreyögg, "has its roots in a tradition that transcends generations and was taught to me by my father.”
This is how Peter Schreyögg regards his work – and these words simultaneously bridge the gap between the present and the past. The past was 1890 when Peter Schreyögg’s grandfather, Josef Schreyögg, the founder of the company, realised his vision of opening a delicatessen in Merano – thereby laying the foundation for the company as it is today. The name Schreyögg quickly became a household name among gourmets in South Tyrol. Quality and service were key from the very beginning and inextricably linked.
The people of Merano were soon regaled with the choicest goods from all over the world, and the delicatessen became established as a reliable source of food items, which included the catering industry. Coffee expert Josef Schreyögg, meanwhile, focused more and more on the dark bean. Not averse to technical progress, he installed the first electrically-driven coffee roasting machine in 1905, an extremely modern and high-tech piece of equipment for its time. Thanks to this development, the art of roasting and blending has remained the focus and true strength of the company to this day.
This traditional company is now a successful global player, employing a large number of highly-skilled staff. Every single employee is an indispensable part of the company. Their experience and expertise in handling coffee equipment, their dedication and reliability are what makes the Schreyögg coffee roasting company so successful.
Stefan Schreyögg is just 31 years old and has already been working at the Schreyögg coffee roasting company since 2007. When he reflects on the company’s 125-year history, he sees an inseparable link between his family business and South Tyrol with its own unique culture. The fact that the Schreyögg coffee roasting company is now active far beyond the borders of South Tyrol, with a Europe-wide trade volume of 65%, does not detract from this. For Stefan Schreyögg, the heart of the business is and remains the local catering trade. A whole raft of certifications clearly demonstrates that quality is a top priority for the managers at the Schreyögg coffee roasting company. So it is only to be expected that Stefan Schreyögg pays close attention to quality management and corporate identity. He knows that trust between consumer and manufacturer creates a synergy, which is why he advocates a clear and structured communication policy – preferring to exchange ideas directly with his customers, at trade fairs, at training courses or via selected trade journals.
The Shreyögg coffee roasting company specialises in the production of high-quality espresso blends, including blends certified according to the guidelines of the Istituto Nazionale Espresso Italiano (INEI) and Fairtrade coffee. The finest filter coffee blends for breakfast, organic coffee specialities, all-round coffees for vending machines and decaffeinated espresso and pods are all part of the product range. The broad assortment covers virtually every customer need. More than twenty different green coffees are sourced from selected plantations to blend the speciality coffees, in accordance with the strictest criteria. The coffee products are primarily noted for their agreeable and balanced character. This is partly achieved by using a variety-specific and traditional, gentle long-roasting process.
